Today is a very special day for me.

This little blog is completing its first year of existence.

Thank you to all my readers. And I always will be grateful to Jacqueline and Miranda, who were the first two people who encouraged me to start it in the first place (see this post to some feedback and this recent post, for an updated recognition of the people who have helped me along the way).

Lots of patterns later, here I am. Loving what I do and wishing to keep doing it. But also knowing how difficult it is. It’s part of the game I love to play, so let me not complain. And there’s still a long, long way to go.  And that is part of the game too. Again, let’s celebrate.

To celebrate this blog’s first year I am having a giveaway. The winner will receive a set of extremely well-printed notecards, with, guess what? Patterns I made, of course. It’s a set of 6 notecards. There is another reason to celebrate. Today is my lovely daughter’s birthday. She is 14 now. A beautiful, generous, gorgeous, sweet, adorable, clever, young lady. I will not go on. I simply adore her. And she is always encouraging me on this challenging career I embraced. So she’s also responsible for this blog’s anniversary. Happy birthday, coisa mais linda do mundo (“prettiest thing in the world”).
