Why, why do I love Paris?

You know this song? I love it.

I’ve already told here that some of my patterns are going to be shown, as part of the Believe Creative Studio (BCS) Collection, at Indigo Paris, a creative textile and surface design show, on September, 19th to 21st, stand 5U49.

That is a huge reason to love Paris, isn’t it?  Well, a selfish reason, in this case. But I am not alone. We are a big bunch of guest designers. I give the whole list of participants (17!) on the end of this post.

You may have hopped here after visiting Leslie Daughty’s blog. Leslie, an experienced graphic designer who has been chanelling her creative energies towards surface pattern design, is another guest designer of  BCS. And I loved the patterns she made for Indigo. In one word, I would say they are elegant. Well done, Leslie.

I am so happy that we have a lovely group of supportive guest designers taking part on this. We want to celebrate this achievement, because it has been quite a challenge, for all of us, to make this collection. It’s such a higher level of requirement. After graduating from the great Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design course, I began to prepare my portfolio and then jumped into this BCS's Indigo enterprise. Other guest designers were more experienced, but we shared our paths, and it has been a learning experience to us all. Luckily we counted with the priceless help of Rosie (Rosie Martinez-Dekker is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Believe Creative Studio).

The simple geometric pattern above, shown in three colour ways, was made while dreaming of being in Paris, eating those delicious and gorgeous pastel tones macarons, with loved ones nearby. The same pattern is shown below, in more tropical and cheeful tones. What reminds me of my dear friend and fellow guest designer, Miranda Mol. The patterns she made for Indigo Paris are awesome. Go to Miranda's blog now and enjoy her colourful, geometric and clever style. This post is part of a sort of small blog hop, so go there and keep this show going on.
